Moreover, he is famous for his performance on the soccer field. He makes millions of dollars each year from his team, and for his merchandise that people buys everyday 24/7. Although Christiano Ronaldo has competition who is also been nominated as the best soccer player in the world. His name is Lionel Messi, AKA"la pulga". He started playing soccer when he was very young, and when he reached at the age of 17, he was offered a contract to play for a team known as Barcelona from Spain. Barcelona is the best team in the world, located in Spain. It has variety of well skilled soccer players that always makes the team win their games. Lionel Messi is also one of the top players well paid by the soccer federation due to his skills, and performance on the soccer field. Messi currently plays for Barcelona till this day, and last year,Ronaldo was transferred from Manchester United to Real Madrid. They both play in the same Spain league. Those two leagues when they face each other, it is called "El Clasico" becuase two of the best league teams in Spain will collide, and the best team wins.
